Company Culture Success vs. Failure
When you’re an entrepreneur and you’re trying to take your business to the next level, there are a few key things that can help you grow fast. Obtaining a growth rate of up to 50% in annual sales is about having the right people. But, more importantly, it’s about maintaining the right culture.
Businesses are fragile at first, and it’s difficult to strengthen a business without the right culture. When we first started out, we were sitting at the kitchen table trying to build our business into something that could rise to the top of the industry. We realized then that, in order to achieve this, we would need to build an effective company culture from the start.
We like to say that there are two types of people in life – those who see problems as temporary and work towards solutions or those who see problems as permanent and struggle to find solutions.
An important part of our company culture is to focus on success and never give in to that negativity. So, from the beginning, we’ve hired employees with a solution-focused mindset.
You’re never going to make 100% of your clients happy. Even if you’re a company like Apple or Google or Facebook, no one is ever going to be 100% satisfied. It’s up to us and our company culture to show customers the brighter side. Whatever our customers are experiencing in their lives, it’s important that our employees help them focus on finding the solution, by helping them understand that any problem is temporary.
We know that this has been a massive key to the success of growing Fundwise. From the top to the bottom, everyone has that winning mentality. With the right company culture, you can see the same growth and progress within your own organization. You can go from a kitchen table in your house like we did, to running a multi-million dollar business. It’s not by chance that those things happen. It’s because you’ve built the right company culture.
